Check Classes! New classes and workshops posted regularly

The Edmonton Weavers’ Guild  was founded in 1953 to encourage local weavers and spinners to meet, exchange ideas and learn. Initially meeting in members homes, we have had a home in locations such as the Southwest Cultural Centre, the King Edward School and the Prince of Wales Armouries. Now we are located in the Strathcona Community League Hall, at 10139-87 Ave. Today  many of our members are also dyers and felters, and love to embellish their handwork. Our phone number is 780-425-9280 (please leave a message and we will get back to you).
Currently we have over 100 members from Edmonton and the surrounding areas.
Every year we offer classes and workshops in the fibre arts as well as knitting and dyeing.

We are guild members of the Hand Weavers, Spinners and Dyers of Alberta, Focus on Fibre Alberta and the Association of Northwest Weavers Guilds.

Our guild offers many resources to members, including study groups, equipment loans,  and entrance of woven goods in our annual sale. We publish a newsletter five times a year detailing events and items of interest to our members.  There are also four quarterly annual meetings, often with guest speakers. We have an extensive library – please see our list of books and periodicals here.

Please join us!  Check out our calendar to see when guild activities are happening .
